This Week’s Randoms

We’ve really been working on sleep with Isaac this past week, and – dare I say it – it’s starting to pay off!  We’ve started dream feeding him and he’s slept in til 8am for the past two days [please don’t be a fluke!], waking bright-eyed and bushy tailed!

Does anyone know how this happens when I change my son??

I put him down for a change, and when I pick him up he’s got pee just on the back of his onesie!  Not on the changing table (I thought maybe he peed while I turned away or something), or in his diaper… just a spot of pee on the backside.  I’m so confused by it.

canont3

Speaking of confusing, I’m getting a digital SLR camera soon!  Ben decided to Cyber-Monday purchase me a Canon T3 as my early graduation present since you can’t beat the deal, and I couldn’t be more excited to start shooting!  I know absolutely nothing about cameras though, and all the talk about aperture and ISO is totally over my head, so I’m hoping you all might be able to give me a few pointers.  Got any tips for a newbie?  Anything you can teach me would be greatly appreciated!

I suppose in order to make the graduation present legit I really have to complete my graduate program.  Hah.  I’ve got finals, then just one more semester to go!  I’m dragging big time and just barely scraping by, which I’m totally not used to [overachieve much?].  I’m currently working on a research critique paper for my Evidence-Based Practices course [or NOT working on it, as I’m writing this post instead…].

font

I type out the instructions for my papers to organize my thoughts beforehand, then change the font to something more fun and soothing in an effort to trick myself into thinking I’m enjoying writing the paper.  Of course, I always have to change the font back to boring 12pt TimesNewRoman before submitting, but I like to think it helps my creative process. Winking smile

Finally, words to live by this week:

It’s so important to take small moments and recognize what’s truly important.

Happy Friday!
